3D Design

The picture above is my wooden sample tile which was inspired by the Nautilus shell as i found the shell very interesting and also it fitted in well with the project. to create this tile i used a pencil to draw out the shape i wanted, then used that as a template to cut around using the electric band saw. after i used a disc sander, which helped me to bevel the round edge of my tile. i also used a hot pen which enabled me to draw on my wood to create different patternts and marks, as well i added smaller pieces of wood to my tile to create depth and to make it look abstract.

The picture above is one of my copper metal piece sample where I've created and made imprints and marks using metal stamps to recreate elements of sea creatures which i was inspired by. To create this sample piece i used a file to sand the edges down, metal stamps and a hammer to make in-prints and marks in the metal.
I have tried to Incorporated elements of sea creatures and plants by using some of there
marks in my work, which i found interesting.

This is a metal (Aluminium) sample piece that i created in 3D design, where i
will develop my final ideas from to create my final metal sculpture. To create like tile
i use a range of tools such as; a file to sand the edges down, a hammer to in-print and
create marks in the metal and i also used a metal band saw which helped me cut into
the metal creating lines, which i could bend and make different shapes with
